Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism (RSUPES&T), Chess Chair of RSUPES&T, “International Mind Games Academy” present:
1) Admission of students to specialization “Chess” and “Mind Games”
For the reason that the RSUPES&T Chess Theory and Methods Chair “ is expected to be reorganized we are glad to invite all those who want to improve their knowledge in chess and other mind games (bridge, go, draughts, shogi, poker, cybersport, national mind games, “What?Where?When?”, ”KVN”, etc.) For the speciality of certificated specialist training: “Physical Education and Sport” along with the specialization “Chess” (7 budgetary places plus several fee-paying places) this year for the first time the Chess Chair announce intake of students to the specialization “Mind Games”, where they can get additional qualification of a “Coache-teacher and Mind Games’ Manager” (fee-paying education). Of course, the admission of students to part-time department, master’s degree section, postgraduate studies and institute of improvement of professional skills. Among main principles of teaching used by the Chess Department of RSUPES&T, the leader of the world best chess education, there are the following: the complex mix of studies, research, sports, social, political and commercial activity.
Our main task is to prepare highly educated professionals, experts of all basic fields in chess activity, who will become absolute leaders in their clubs, countries and regions, international federations after graduating from the university and thus they will prepare qualitative breakthrough in the development and popularization of chess (and other mind kinds of sport).
2) The festival “RSUPES&T CHESS WEEK 2010– FINAL of the “WORLD CHESS TOUR 2009/10. Moscow, October 2nd–8th 2010

Minimal guaranteed prize fund - Euro 100.000
Expected prize fund - more than Euro 500.000

Preliminary festival’s programme:
2–4th of October - qualifying tournaments (VIP and OPEN)
5th of October - main qualifying event, qualifying tournaments “VIP Last Night” and “Last Night Open”
6–7th of October – Superfinal
8th ofOctober – closing of the tournament, departure of the participants
Superfinal 6-7th of October, 2010 – with the participation of the famous Grand Masters, World Champions. Tournament system: Speed Chess with the time handicap, the mix of Knock-out and Swiss systems. Players allowed to participate in the Superfinal : most successful participants of the events of the “World Chess Tour” in various rating and age categories, the winners of the qualifying tournaments: Online, Open, VIP, “Last Minute” players, who are participating in the final event without qualification, paying special entry fee, the participants invited personally

The participants of the World Chess Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk (19.09 – 4.10.2010) can take part in the main qualifying tournament on the 5th of October. The best players of the Olympiad will be allowed straight to the Superfinal.

3) Round-robin tournaments, „week-end tournaments”, master-classes, seminars for coaches, arbiters, etc.
The “NON-STOP” Series’ round-robin tournaments regularly are held in RSUPES&T (these events are the part of the “World Chess Tour” , see more details on www.chess-events.org/ru_RU/wct.html). The participants can live as in the hostel of RSUPES&T and in the hotel “Izmaylovo”. The hotel “Izmaylovo” is a place where such traditional festivals as “Aeroflot Open” and others are usually held.
In the program: GM, IM, rating events.
The winner of the IM tournament gets the right to participate in the next GM tournament and the winner of the rating event gets the right to play in the IM tournament.
Besides, the winners and others successful players will get discount in the final stage of the “World Chess Tour”.

On the basis of the RSUPES&T Chess Chair the “week-end tournaments” are planned to be held: rapid chess and blitz.
For training of the coach, arbiters, chess events’ organizers, managers, journalists and others the seminars and training courses will be held.
