Dear chess friends,
Hereby, we would like to present you the ACP Board Newsletter Nr.1/2008. We intend to publish our newsletters every two weeks and to cover most important topics related to professional chess.

2) The ACP Board

The new ACP Board was elected during the 2007 General Assembly (www.chess-players.org/eng/news/viewarticle.html?id=692) and started its work on 01.01.2008.

During the new board’s first meeting, ACP President 2006/07 Mr. Pavel Tregubov put forward candidates for the four administrative posts, and all of them agreed to take over the proposed functions. Following preliminary consultations, a vote was held, which confirmed the Board’s support to all candidates. As a result, the duties are distributed as follows:

President – Vadim Morokhovsky (Ukraine, Chairman of “Pivdenny Bank”, President of Odessa chess federation, organizer of the ACP World Rapid Cup 2007 & 2008)

Board Director – Pavel Tregubov (Russia, Grandmaster, ACP President 2006/07)

General Secretary – Igor Glek (Germany, Grandmaster, WLCT President)

Treasurer – Yannick Pelletier (Switzerland, Grandmaster, ACP Tour Director).

Other ACP Board members elected during the last ACP General Assembly are Elmira Mirzoeva (Russia, Grandmaster, TV/Radio  journalist ), Sergey Movsesian (Slovakia, Grandmaster), Alex Shabalov (USA, Grandmaster), Emil Sutovsky (Israel, Grandmaster), Yuri Yakovich (Russia, Grandmaster).

3) ACP Tour and ACP Women Series.
