In 1983 has ended engineering-economic faculty of the Moscow University of the petrol and gas.
1983-1986 - work as economist.
1987-1988 - service in the Soviet Army.
Since 1989 - the professional chess player, in 1990 the title of International Grand Master was granted. Since 1989 - also chess coach and chess writer.
Winner of more than 100 international chess tournaments.
The best rating - in 1996 - 2670 (Nr. 12 in the World).
Europe Champion 2001 (for "Norilsky nikel").
Europe Vice-Champion 1997 and 2002 (for Russia and "Norilsky nikel").
Team's champion of USSR (1990), Russia (1996), Belgien (1995-2001), Switzerland (2007). Vice-champion of France (1997), Russia (2001), Netherlands (2001).
1994-2003: living mostly in Germany.
Chess Teaching experience: 1992 - 1997: Coach of the youth team Bochum 31, Germany Youth Clubs Champion for these years; 1997 - 1998: Coach of Arkady Naiditsch, the modern best German player (Boys-12 World Vice-Champion 1997, for 1 year he became 200 rating points and made his IM-Norm); 1999 - 2000: Coach of Leonid Kritz, one of the best German GMs (Youth World Champion U16 1999); etc. Coach of the youth teams of Russia, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Greece. In July-August 2009 was a coach of Russian Women Team which became in September 2009 World Vice-Champion and in October 2009 - European Champion. Consultant and second of many famous Grandmasters, like A.Karpov, A.Khalifman, E.Bareev, T.Radjabov, A.Volokitin etc.
Well-known chess theory expert and author of many articles as well of the book "4.g2-g3 in Four Nights Opening". This line (1.e2-e4 e7-e5 2.Ng1-f3 Nb8-c6 3.Nb1-c3 Ng8-f6 4.g2-g3) as well as line 7...Na6 in Classical System of the Kings Indian Defence (1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 Bg7 4.e4 d6 5.Be2 0-0 6.Nf3 e5 7.0-0 Na6) called "Glek Variation". The author od the opening's monographie " "4.g2-g3 in Four Nights Opening - Glek Variation" (Germany 1998) and of many articles and surveys by leading World Chess Theory Magazines "New in Chess" and "SOS" (The Netherlands).
2001 - 2003: work by one of the biggest energy concerns in Germany - RWE as representative of trade international.
2003: was on of the founders of Association of Chess Professionals (ACP, www.chess-players.org).
Since January 2004 ACP Board Member.
In December 2005 was reelected for 2006-2007, in December 2007 was reelected for 2008-2011 again.
2005, 2006: Organizer and Technical Director of International Chess Festival "Moscow Open" (www.moscowchessopen.ru), which is now one of biggest chess events in the World.
2005 - 2008: Member of FIDE Committees "Youth and Junior Events" and "Chess in School" (www.fide.com).
Since December 2010 - Member of FIDE Trainers Commission (TRG)
January 2008 - May 2009: General Secretary of Association of Chess Professionals (ACP) www.chess-players.org
In July-August 2009 was on of the coach of Russian Women Team which became in September 2009 World Vice-Champion and in October 2009 - European Champion.
Author of the project "World Chess Tour" series (more on www.chess-events.org/en_US/rgm-wct.html), the 1st edition has started in July 2009. Since July 2009 he is also an organizer of "NON-STOP" series of the round-robin tournaments for Grandmaster / International Master norms (Moscow, RUS).
