Second Theoretical and practical conference “Actual problems of the chess and mind games progress in Russia”

The Second Theoretical and practical conference “Pressing problems of the chess and mind games progress in Russia” was held in RSUPESY&T (www.sportedu.ru)  on December the 14^th. Among the participants there were heads of the mind sports all-Russian and regional federations (chess, draughts, go,  sports bridge, shogi, cybersport, “What?Where?When?”, etc.), experts of sports, education, science, specialized in mind and sports logical games. Discussions were devoted to the actual problems of “mind games”, trends and prospects of development.

Resuming the conference the participants had approved the joint Declaration, which consists of the social, economical as well as educational immediate strategic goals.

Among important tasks:

1. The creation of the Mind Sports and Games Association of Russia for the purpose of  real protection of the professionals’ and mind sports experts’ interests.
2. The conferment of the state employees status to the mind sports experts.
3. The rise of the mind sports and games cultural and educational component importance.
4. Working out of the the mind educational program for all educational levels from one’s youth up (ages of 1,5-2)
5. The creation in the regions of the mind sports clubs and buildings;

etc.

Next, the Third theoretical & practical conference “Actual problems of the chess and mind games progress in Russia” (for the first time it will receive the status of international) is planned to be held during the period of February 6-10^th  2012, just to the 90-years anniversary of the oldest Grandmaster in the World, Int. Arbiter, former USSR Chess Federation Chairman, expert in Chess theory and history, Mr. Yury Averbakh.
